Ralphs is conveniently located, and it's perfect if you're planning to head to the park afterward. I stopped by to buy fruits, vegetables, and salt, and was happy to find travel-sized salt and pepper--great for those not staying in the area long. They also offer discounts on items, like salads with colored price tags. The service was quick, and the ambiance was quiet, creating a calm shopping experience. The decor is typical of a supermarket. However, I couldn't find papayas, which are amazing in California, or specific probiotics for digestion, which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, it was a solid and convenient shopping trip!

Fresh and fare at Ralph's Fresh Fare DTLA Located on 9th street across from Panini Kabob Grill between Flower Street and Hope Street - they have easy steps or a long ramp off to the side. There is an underground lot just for Ralph's that you can access from Hope or Flower with elevators that go directly to the store. Easy access on foot if local or staying locally as well as close to lots of public transit. The staff is pretty friendly at this location and they're always stocked good as well as always busy. Security stationed throughout and their pretty diligent. A few popular items run low or light especially in paper goods, home goods or personal care items. A central hub for local residents, but definitely also people traveling and in need of a few essentials. The layout is pretty big though can feel a little small during peak hours. Especially on weekends and close to holidays. This Ralph's is central and the primary option in downtown. Other grocers such as Smart & Final and Whole Foods, being the next available, but you'll find better deals here. Being a high traffic grocery store, spirits are locked up, but they're up front so it's an easy assist when you're checking out. I'm not here too often, but when staying in the area recently we did make a quick stop in. Prior to that I'd come in a bit when visiting people in the area. Usually for veggies, a grab n go veggie roll, and beverages. Solids selection of beer and wine, with a wine cellar no less. Enjoy produce here - like their bananas, pre-sliced fruit and oranges. Pickup available/accessible from their spots in their garage lot - close to the elevators.

The food is always fresh, I love the honey crisp apples. The service is always great! The store is always clean, it is normally pretty busy because it is downtown.

So. Originally I was going to give this store 4 stars. But decided to give it 5. And I'll tell you why. First off, I was going to drop my rating because of the fact that there are more cashiers during the day (less busy) and only 2 or so at night (more busy). But spoke to Daniel, the store manager today, and he was very open to my feedback and said he'd review the issue. That's someone who I think cares about his business. As for the rest of my pluses Today the sampler for Monsters Energy Drink (Alcohol type) MADE MY DAY. She carded me before I took the sample. Even if she has to card everyone, in my mind it made my day. Very friendly and professional. Similar shoutouts to Pam and Bertha, two cashiers who helped me out the past week. Love they have 2-4 or so security guards, who do an awesome job keeping an eye on things, especially downtown where crime is sadly rampant at the moment. Overall, great experience and plan to keep coming. :)
